Position Title: Technical Professional – Electrical

Position Description

KBR is seeking a Technical Professional – Electrical. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for study, design, specification and services related to electrical and electronic systems including power generation, transmission and distribution, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, motor control centers, communications systems, cathodic protection, grounding lightning protection, heat tracing etc. Under direct supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, with typical experience ranging from 3-7 years.
  • Emphasis on electrical power design with 15K / 4160 / 600 volt power distribution systems, lighting, schematic wiring diagrams, cable / raceway sizing, lightning protection and grounding, and power system modeling/arc flash studies.
  • Certification as an Engineer-In-Training or timely pursuit of certification is preferred.
  • Assignments may require conducting plant walk downs during design and providing startup support of construction projects at the client site.
