Description

SAIC is seeking a Crypto-Key Management Satellite Systems Engineer to join our team in our El Segundo, CA office. This role is in support of Department of Defense (DoD) Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) with an emphasis on Intel Agency (IC)’s Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and crypto development. He/She shall provide Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity expertise including consultation with our customer in the development of MILSATCOM programs. Program support includes lifecycle stages from concept development and contract pre-acquisition through contractor design and accreditation. 


Key responsibilities are:

  • Review new program “Request For Proposals” to ensure crypto and key management elements are well defined; Develop IA/Cyber/Crypto Program Roadmap across all new programs
  • Identify, track and report on IA/Cyber/Crypto/Satellite areas across all programs
  • Organize, coordinate and facilitate MILSATCOM Enterprise Cybersecurity Working Group
  • Provide technical support for IC algorithm transitions across MILSATCOM. Provide cyber technical support to MC Cyber Resiliency efforts
  • Interface with other government organizations during security evaluation of engineering design solutions
  • Provide compliance support during contractor accreditation phase

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered for this position
  • 9+ years of work experience in IC Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) or Electronic Key Management System (EKMS)
  • 9+ years of work experience in Information Assurance (IA)/Cybersecurity/Satellite Systems Engineering
