Reconnaissance & Targeting Systems (RTS) is an ~$300M business area headquartered in McKinney, TX with operations in both Texas & El Segundo, CA, growing with recent awards of strategic development programs and domestic and international production.

The selected candidate will support early capture gates and associated analysis, and production and spares programs.

The selected analyst will be responsible for reporting of internal and external financial requirements, performing financial and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) analysis and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed upon parameters; monitoring cost / schedule progress in comparison to budgets; for forecasting Bookings / Sales / Profit / Cash monthly, for AOP and for 5-year Plans; and developing Estimates at Completion (EACs), preparing complete and timely monthly program review packages, and ensuring program compliance to Raytheon policies and procedures. This analyst will participate in program risk mitigation plans, opportunities and corrective action analysis. As such, participation in a team environment by working with other functional organizations to accomplish team objectives is highly valued.

This individual will also manage financial information for internal and external audits and DCAA/DCMA joint EVMS surveillances as required. The individual should be dedicated to continued process improvement and the building of efficiencies into all operational aspects of the program, as well as the RTS, LWS, and RMS finance community.


Minimum Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics or a related field and 6 years of experience or MBA and 4 years of related experiences


Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint


Excellent analytical and problem solving skills


Ability to manage time, prioritize workload and work under deadline constraints


Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact face-to-face with senior levels of management


Ability to work independently, and as a team member, with minimal supervision

Highly Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost

Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)


Previous experience using the following software systems/packages: SAP, PRISM

Experience with financial statements
Defense industry experience
