Core hours 0500 - 1900 hours. Evening and weekend work may be required. Pan most efficient routes to destinations considering traffic, weather conditions and time of day. Read maps accurately. Operate cars or vans to transport personnel on routine routes. Obey traffic laws; anticipate hazardous conditions, practice defensive driving techniques. Professionalism and communication skills; maintain radio and telephone communication with dispatcher; report all incidents that affect operations. Vehicle maintenance checks to include fuel, water, oil, tire pressure. Wash and clean the exterior and interior of vehicles on a routine basis. Conduct pre and post trip inspections. Report discrepancies to management. Assist new drivers.
