Associate Specialist, Procurement

Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.


Under close supervision of Project Procurement Manager, performs capital project purchasing activities as follows:

  • Create basic procurement documents such as RFQ’s and PO’s
  • Coordinate Project Procurement Plan (PPP) strategy with capital project team members
  • Understand and follow procurement procedures and practices
  • Organizes and maintain electronic capital procurement files
  • Input and maintain equipment and material tracking in various procurement systems
  • Communicate bid packages, correspondence and award documents



  • Intermediate skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization skills and ability to function within a project team
  • Ability to support multiple clients and prioritize work
  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in use of personal computers and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power-point)
  • Knowledge of SAP
