Technical Professional – Structural

Under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

This position is located at a client site in Parkersburg, WV. No Per Diem or Relocation will be offered.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering and minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Certification as an Engineer-In-Training is preferred
  • Experience in structural and civil is preferred

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Work is located at a chemical plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes
  • Work often requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas, walking up stairs, climbing ladders, taking field measurements, and walking the plant property
  • Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat and steel-toed boots
  • Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs frequently, etc
