SAIC is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator in the area
of manufacturing technologies. This role provides server and equipment integration services for engineering groups in a fast paced, time critical manufacturing environment, with a strong teaming and product delivery mindset. The outcomes for this role include server configuration and system networking integration, maintenance activities and equipment lifecycle management.
The successful candidate will need to have extensive Windows OS/Server administration experience; a background in PC support; PLCs support; and familiarity with other manufacturing technology. Additional responsibilities include understanding cyber security policies and directives, implementing controls on computing equipment and other duties as assigned. This position will be part of a multifaceted technologies team with a strong customer focus.
Minimum of 2 – 4 years of Windows combined server experience
Demonstrated abilities with installation, configuration and maintaining Windows 2008, 2012 and 2016 Server Operating Systems on a variety of physical and virtual hardware
Experience maintaining Active Directory topology and configuring Group Policy Object management
Experience managing virtual environments and implementing cyber policies
Familiarization with databases and database services
Experience restoring data and reconfiguring systems; troubleshooting system software and hardware problems
Run diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems
Knowledge of networking principles
An active DOE L level security clearance is required to start
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
Experience addressing network, storage or system performance issues.
