Description:The Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) is seeking a self-motivated software engineer with experience in building real-time simulation software applications, tool development, and supporting software development environments. This individual will be part of the highly innovative Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) organization, responsible for developing and maintaining Aviation Simulation Systems utilized for systems development from concept design through production and delivery.

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with experience in build and release activities. Candidate needs 2-4+ years of experience with Serena Dimensions and understand how the tool is used to extract, build, and deploy required baselines. Candidate should have strong analytical abilities in order to analyze the effectiveness of software releases and also possess effective communication and ability to collaborate with colleagues, such as project leads, software development team, and external customers, on the streamlined implementation of software programs. Successful candidate will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity with a broad range of responsibilities to include simulation software requirements, design, development, integration, and verification. The selected candidate will work as an integral part of a highly motivated team using Agile methodologies.

Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) is a highly innovative organization, responsible for developing and maintaining manned aircraft weapon simulation systems utilized for weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive selection of simulators and software/systems integration test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues. Our products are used to advance weapon systems development, strengthen pilot familiarization, assess human factors, evaluate aircraft control laws, improve mission study effectiveness, provide test capabilities required for contract verification and provide integration testing and verification capabilities for aircraft systems and software.

This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret security clearance updated within the last 6 years to start. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with Computer Science and Computer Engineering studies
• Software Development and/or Build Integration Experience
• Experience with C/C++ programming language
• Experience with Serena Dimensions
• Experience with Linux operating systems
