We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Program Manager to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of a software development contract.
  • Responsible for the planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting of all aspects of the project execution.
  • Familiarity with software development projects using Java technologies and DevSecOps, a plus.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of CDRLs and software releases based on SCRUM-based Sprint cycles.
  • Manage a multi-function team.
  • Manage client stakeholder communications.
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach team members.
  • Allocate and prioritize resources across multiple priorities.
  • Full understanding of waterfall and Agile SDLC and associated.Documentation (project plan documents, requirements documentation and product backlog, Sprint Planning, test plans and acceptance criteria, reports, etc.).
  • Create project plan documents and manage them accordingly.
  • Work closely with solution resources including architects, developers, testers, SCRUM Master, security engineer, operational SME, and system administrators on lifecycle deliverables.
  • Generate weekly status reports and monthly status reports for client.
  • Generate and present quarterly project status reports to senior leadership.
  • Document project risks and mitigation plans and work with team leadership on tracking and execution.
  • Support IA A&A package submission.
  • Ensure all the processes are documented and followed for compliance.
  • Respond to client requests for cost and schedule impact based on scope change

Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of Professional experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting at all levels including executive.
  • 2+ years in Agile Development projects - Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated Project Management experience, with a track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using traditional and Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the RMF A&A process, a plus.
  • Prior experience as a developer is a plus for the job.
  • Should possess a level of technical background sufficient to provide highly-credible project leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
  • Ability to coordinate and write technical documents, familiarity with the Data Item Description (DID) a plus.
  • Experience with developing software development CDRL documents including SDD, SVD, IDD, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to thrive in a busy, deadline driven atmosphere.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Experience with the US Navy, a plus

Education / Certification / Security Clearance Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
