As the Strategic Negotiation Partner supporting Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing transactional advice and assistance in connection with the negotiation of subcontracts (including pricing, schedule, terms and conditions, and IP rights) and other contractual documents (including non-disclosure agreements, software licenses, collaborative (teaming) agreements, and supplier financing arrangements).

  • Developing a written negotiation strategy for individual negotiations in coordination with Subcontract Managers.

  • Assisting in the development and review of prime contract flowdowns for subcontractors.

  • Developing and/or providing training to IDS Global Supply Chain Management personnel regarding company policy and subcontract negotiating strategy and tactics.

  • Assisting with the commencement defense, and resolution of contractual claims involving suppliers.

  • Participating as a Core Member of the Raytheon Supply Chain Advisory Group, which is responsible for shaping enterprise terms and conditions, document templates, and policies and procedures used by supply chain organizations throughout the company.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of legal, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, engineering, operations, program or project management experience

  • Experience with contracts or subcontracts including: negotiating, drafting contractual language or interpreting laws and regulations.



Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Government Contracting, on the buy or sell side.

  • Expertise in negotiating terms and conditions of purchase, agreements and licenses.

  • Knowledge of and experience in the areas of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements (DFARS), and related laws and regulations affecting government contracting, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and applicable export/import laws and regulations Raytheon terms and conditions.\\

  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) and need for cost/pricing data, and Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR).

  • Experience providing procurement advice and negotiation assistance within a supply chain organization.

  • Experience in effectively interacting with a large supply base.

  • Experience mentoring and training individuals in the subject of Government Contracting and how it relates to subcontracting.

  • Experience with the adjudication of claims.

  • Experience with IP or software licensing.

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance if required.

  • Excellent presentation & communication skills
