SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to support development of a 3D globe rendering engine implemented in applications that support military operations on Android and Windows devices.
Primary work location is SAIC’s Bradford Drive facility in Huntsville, and occasionally the Combat Capability Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (CCDC-AvMC) Systems Simulation Software & Integration Directorate (S3I) on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate will provide software engineering, development and maintenance support for various Software products/programs developed under the S3I’s Battlefield Operations Software Suite, with primary focus on supporting the suite’s geospatial capabilities. The interested individual will be developing software to optimize rendering and data management performance using Java, the Android OS and OpenGL ES, as well as the Windows and Linux equivalents. The effort involves working on an Agile Development Team to design, implement, document, build, and test software in an Android/Java deployment environment.
Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience [4 YOE accepted in lieu of degree]
Experience with Java, Android OS, OpenGL ES
Experience with Linus and/ Windows
Strong background in Object Oriented Analysis and Design methods
Agile software development processes
Strong mathematical proficiency
CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
