Lead and perform aerodynamic design and analysis tasks within our Hypersonic programs business area, located in Valley Forge, PA. Responsible for performing and overseeing aerodynamic analysis and design using computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing to assess aerodynamic characteristics including control mechanisms as well as aero heating environments for strategic missile systems, hypersonic vehicles, and related components. Experience developing and performing trade study analyses in conjunction with a conceptual design team is desired. The ability to formulate aerodynamic characteristics for use in trajectory simulations and to predict aero heating for subsequent thermal protection system design is desired. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) experience, focused on hypersonic flow, is desired. Experience in analyzing flight test data is a plus. Demonstrated leadership experience planning and executing wind tunnel testing to verify vehicle design performance is desired. Demonstrated leadership experience in leading design and analysis teams including delegating tasks to more junior engineers and ensuring high qualify results. Experience in clearly and effectively communicating analysis and testing results and conclusions through documentation and presentations to customer at design reviews.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or Higher in an appropriate Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience.
Technical background in aerodynamic analysis and/or test.
Ability to lead and perform in a team environment
Desired Skills:
Bachelor Degree or Higher in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
Familiarity with ICBM and Strategic Systems customer base and related programs
Technical background in missile/reentry aerodynamic analysis
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience, including mesh generation, turbulence modeling, reacting flows and post processing analysis.
Experience with wind tunnel testing and data reduction, model supplier and test facility coordination.
Experience with flight test data reduction.
Matlab and higher-level programming language experience
