The ideal candidate will be engaged, experienced, and able to lead Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), Transient Aircraft (TA), and Fuels services activities. Working side-by-side with the Project Manager you will have the opportunity to lend your leadership to a group of aviation professionals.

This position is located at our Fairford, UK site. Fairford is a sleepy hamlet in the English country side, near historical landmarks. This a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture while working alongside a team of dedicated experts.
Your varied duties will include maintaining pre-determined standards, ensuring performance objectives and thresholds for critical tasks specified in the Services Summary are met. Areas that will be managed are Quality, Safety and Training Programs to corporate and customers standards.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages personnel manning levels, work shifts and personal leave schedules for AGE, TA, and Fuels
Supervises qualification and recurring training IAW RAF Fairford Training Plan
Supervises ancillary programs:
Property Control Plan/tool program
Technical order/publications
Hazardous material/hazardous waste
Safety
Vehicles
FOD
Works directly with Chief Operating Officer, corporate management and site-specific Government Officials on matters related to daily operations of said contract.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises Trailboss RAF Fairford, United Kingdom employees.
Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws to include:
Interviewing, hiring, and training employees
planning, assigning, and directing work
appraising performance
rewarding and disciplining employees
addressing complaints and resolving problems

Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Associate Degree in a related maintenance discipline; 20 yearsâ?? experience, culminating in a key management position in AGE-GSE operations.
Must be a US Citizen
Must pass a background verification
Must hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts (such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume) and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: As required by the Performance Work Statement

Other Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to: install basic equipment; determine what kind of tools and equipment are needed to do a job; repair machines or systems using the needed tools; identify the nature of problems; troubleshoot what is causing an operating error and decide what to do about it; perform routine maintenance and servicing of aircraft and determine what kind of maintenance is needed; and inspect and evaluate the quality of products.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
