Job Description:

The Maritime Littoral Systems (MLS) Major Program area within the ISRS Mission Area has a Financial Planning (FP&A) opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst located in McKinney, Texas. This position supports achieving the MLS financial plans through financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and recommendations. Responsibilities include cash management, funding status tracking, MLS EV reporting management, MLS Ops review support, EAC status tracking, investments reporting and analysis, and balance sheet initiatives support.

The ideal candidate has experience with financial reporting systems. The individual is customer service focused and strives to improve efficiencies within FP&A processes in order to enhance the analysis and forecast recommendations provided to key stake holders. The Financial Analyst also provides assurance as to the data integrity of the numbers that serve as the basis for MLS management decision making and presentations.

Required Skills:

  • 4 Years of Related Experience
  • Ability to effectively lead and participate in meetings
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytics: Ability to evaluate data, develop financial models/plans/analyses/reports, and present solutions to problems/issues for which there is no established approach
  • Capable of handling a high stress environment with multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Government contractor industry experience with knowledge of both government accounting (FAR, CAS) and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Inquisitive (and acts on it) with strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • A drive for leading process change, willing and able to partner with cross business teams to improve forecast accuracy
  • Extremely organized; can easily track various revision scenarios
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
