Job Description:

The successful candidate will participate in a variety of tasks to include the Verification and Validation of PATRIOT real-time embedded military software, the development and execution of PATRIOT system training programs, the development of Patriot Technical Manuals and the development of Technical Data Packages (TDP) for the TCS and BCP. In this position, the successful candidate will perform system-engineering activities in support of the PATRIOT program to include:
Analysis of Patriot System Test Data

Software Requirements analysis

Designing and conducting software validation test

Analysis of TCS/BCP test data to determine test objective status (PASS/FAIL)

Publishing test conductor and test analysis reports

Developing lesson plans and Technical Manuals for elements of the Patriot system

Training solders on the Patriot System

Participate in the upgrade of the TCS and BCP TDPs

Additional activities will include participating in peer reviews, resolving identified problems, interfacing with and providing support to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead, System Engineering lead and other team members.

The position requires ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally and may require substantial travel.

This position requires an active US DoD Secret Security Clearance

Required Skills:

  • Must have Patriot Missile Systems experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM)
  • Four years of experience in the development of TDPs
  • Four years of experience with the TCS and BCP
  • Experience in performing hardware and software trade studies
  • Must be willing and able to travel, sometimes internationally.

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Good communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of DOORs, Unix and MATLAB
  • Experience with the Patriot ICC and ECS
  • Knowledge of LINUX/UNIX system administration, networking/setting up switches/routers, use of simulations and maybe a little programming experience to include shell script writing
  • Background in software requirements, analysis, integration or test

Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, Physics or Electrical Engineering
