Schoen Insulation Services of Canton, Georgia is actively seeking to hire a full-time Experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for the first and second shifts at their facility.Familiarity with Haas Lathes is a plus.

This full-time position has competitive pay and excellent benefits. These include paid holidays and paid medical/dental benefits after 60 days, as well as paid vacation and 401k opportunities after one year. These openings are for First and Second shift. First shift is Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. Second shift is Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. We are looking for someone who is willing to work overtime as needed.

Becoming a CNC Machine Operator will first and foremost require that you commit to quality and safety standards, and that you are excellent at keeping records. It also means that you will do your best to maintain the equipment and supplies you work with. You will love learning and gathering more education in this industry, as you prove to become a talented and trusted machinist!

Some of your daily tasks will be to program mills and lathes, set tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches. Your excellent basic math skills will assist you in calculating. You will make sure specifications are maintained throughout product runs by carefully observing the drilling, grooving, cutting, knurling, thread chasing, etc. You will take measurements and detect malfunctions, troubleshoot, then adjust and reprogram as needed. You will watch for wear and be sure all parts are sharpened and replaced when worn. You will call for repairs from maintenance staff, and be an excellent communicator with supervisors when irregularities occur. This is a very rewarding job with a great company!


High School Diploma or GED
Great with basic math including geometry and trigonometry
Willing to be trained
Desire to become proficient in all tasks, and to gain further knowledge
Excellent organizational skills
Fantastic reporting and documentation procedures
Ability to pass a background check
