Job Title: Afghan Air Force (AAF) UAE Maintenance Site Lead
Job Description: This position reports directly to the Afghan Air Force (AAF) UAE Site Lead for the Afghanistan Pilot Training Program. The Maintenance Site Manager will assist in providing sub-contractor oversight at an aviation maintenance training academy located in UAE conducting training for Afghanistan National Army Air Force student maintainers. Responsibilities include running maintenance operations in UAE for the C208 and Advanced Turboprop aircraft, Sub-contractor oversight to ensure contractual obligation are being met, student integration into UAE and training program, management and leadership of in-country Raytheon maintenance mentors, and lead the mentorship and development of up to 125 Afghanistan Air Force (AAF) student maintainers at any given time.
The Maintenance Site lead shall also act as the Senior Maintenance Mentor and shall implement and operate programs, practices, and procedures for developing Afghan Air Force maintenance students undergoing Maintenance training in UAE. The Maintenance Site Lead will assist Afghan Air Force (AAF) maintenance students with Maintenance Mentoring during and after duty hours reinforcing maintenance training classroom content and hands-on practices required to meet Afghan MX Level 3 certification. The Maintenance Site Lead will help establish a positive working and learning environment for students through the application of basic military standards and discipline. Work location will be at a private aviation training academy in UAE.
Required Hours: Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to twelve (12) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while in CONUS.
Assists in the management of the assigned Raytheon maintenance mentors / staff.
Works closely with U.S. Government personnel assigned in oversight of the execution of the program.

Preparation of reports and data analysis for senior program management review
Effectively communicate information to management
Suggest and implement corrective actions
Assist in the review of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and other documents to ensure material and service requirements are complete
Participates in performance review boards
Assists in the development of curriculum for additional Aviation maintenance instruction to help student progress in all phases of training.
Assist with tasks specified/directed by the UAE Pilot Site Lead.
Conduct effective delivery of Maintenance mentoring.
Ensure students conformity with training curriculum.
Provide feedback on student’s performance and progress.
Write and maintain reports and documents as required.
Monitor/audit classes being taught by the selected sub-contractor.
Teach conversational English in a non-classroom setting to groups of Afghan students at their accommodations.
Maintenance Site Lead will be responsible for regularly interacting with academy staff as well as US military personnel.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation maintenance operations on the C208 and/or advanced turbprop aircraft and include 4 years of experience in program management or subcontractor management
Must be a Native English speaker.
Must have experience as a PC/QC NCIOC.
Must have experience in professional mentoring.

Must meet medical criteria for deployment and living in UAE.

Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining eligibility
Must be able to obtain an Afghanistan Visa
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card via the National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) process
Required Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited school & eight (8) years of related experience, OR six (6) years related experience with Master's degree. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (16 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
FAA Airframe & Power Plant license holder.
Avionics repair experience.
Five years’ experience conducting and supervising US Army Aviation maintenance programs
Previously qualified as a school trained Allied Shops Supervisor or Aviation Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO).
Technical Inspector designation on the C208
Experience as a Production Control or Quality Control Supervisor in a Maintenance Unit supporting C208 and/or turboprop aircraft.
Experience in English language instruction at an accredited institution.
CELTA /or TESOL Certificate – Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Experience working overseas.
Previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
