Subcontract Specialist II

Job Description:
The Subcontract Specialist II will place Purchase Orders, coordinate deliveries, and other related tasks in keeping Purchase Order information updated to support financial and factory requirements in alignment with program objectives to help development programs eventually transition to production on the Advanced Missile Systems (AMS) Product Line.The candidate will have direct contact with suppliers, internal customers, Quality, Engineering, and Operations (Production Control), and is expected to drive Post-Award management with Purchase Order delivery accuracy, coordinate delinquencies with the Supplier Managers, as well as to ensure the supplier parts are able to be received in the PRISM system.

Responsibilities would include, updating purchase order delivery information, understanding the MRP requirement drive within PRISM (SAP), working with Production Control to understand factory impact for material to ensure there are no shortages, updating supplier lead times in the systems when appropriate, and resolving delivery receipt issues. Will perform a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of Purchase delivery accuracy. Coordinates and monitors delivery changes, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned area. Working from PRISM or status reports, checks and verifies data, identifies items to be posted, identifies related areas that are affected and records information. Determines and communicates impacts to affected individuals, and initiates and takes corrective action. Draws attention to important items and actual or potential problems and assists in developing solutions. The individual needs to be success oriented, self-motivated, committed to work within the compliant requirements, proficient in Excel and verbal/written communication.

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Executes to Raytheon and customer requirements including government regulations (such as FAR/DFAR), public law and Raytheon policies and procedures
  • Assist with new supplier onboarding, including ESDM, New Supplier Adds, Proprietary Agreements, annual CR-003 Certifications
    Compile technical, quality, delivery and contractual requirements and prepares/issues requests for quote/proposal
  • Handle hold tickets, invoice issues, and other related tasks, including rework purchase orders
Required Experience, Skills & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • Less than two years experience in similar position is acceptable
  • Customer Service experience
  • Critical thinking-solution oriented
  • Ability to plan, organize, research, and prioritize work
  • Detail orientated
  • Proactive communication
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Can work within a team environment, as well as work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effective both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to adapt to changes in tactical tasks
  • Ability to work successfully with minimal oversight, yet ready to recognize and escalate when assistance is required

Security Clearance Requirements:
Candidate must have a current secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance
