Interview Process
  • "Get to know you" call with Solution Director
  • Technical phone interview with a developer on our team 
    • Be prepared to share samples of your work
  • In-person interview with at least 2 developers on our team in Cookeville
    • Be prepared to share samples of your work


Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience
  • Web Development with Java/Angular: front-end web application development.
  • Willingness to travel when necessary (~10%)
  • Willingness to commute to SAIC's office in Reston, VA (~1/week)
  • Willingness to appear on webcam in remote team meetings
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders when necessary
Clearance Requirement
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain an FDA Public Trust clearance prior to starting work.

Desired Experience & Skils
  • Java/Angular associated tooling, such as: 
    • SpringBoot
    • HTML
    • CSS, Sass
    • JavaScript
    • Automated unit testing tools like Selenium 
  • SVN: Experience using SVN in a team environment
  • Agile/Scrum: Familiarity with Kanban and/or Scrum and/or Extreme Programming (XP). Knowledge of how Agile Toolsets like JIRA work, how Scrum is done, standard Scrum meetings.
  • Linux: Familiarity with how Linux works, common commands used. Developer workstations are either Windows or MacOS, deploy environments in Linux, Tomcat, etc. Able to solve challenging problems well by using all available resources including collaboration with teammates, internet search, tools and libraries, etc.
  • Understand business, technical, and program requirements
  • Apply coding and analytical skills in all phases of the system life cycle
  • Develop application program logic from customer-defined specifications
  • Test, debug, support and maintain application programs for customers in a variety of business areas and environments
