Job Description:

The IIS Workforce Fulfillment department has an immediate need for an Engineering Staffing Specialist in El Segundo, CA.

This position directly supports and impacts technical hiring needs for 2019 and beyond and supports the Engineering and Technology function within the Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) business.

The Engineering Staffing Specialist supports the Dedicated Discipline Hiring Managers with staffing efficiencies to streamline the hiring process. Collaborate with Dedicated Discipline Hiring Managers, Department Managers and Talent Acquisition Recruiters to implement strategic, innovative hiring solutions.

Areas of responsibilities:

  • Track status updates and interview feedback sessions
  • Provide metrics for key leaders with real-time data on key performance indicators relating to requisition status and hiring performance measurements
  • Partner with managers to develop position content that is thorough, alluring to candidates, and aligns with business strategy
  • Consolidate, refine processes and implement strategic utilization of supplemental staffing providers
  • Maximize referrals by developing and maintaining talent pipelines
  • Track hiring event participation by hiring managers and attend events, as needed
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business area, capabilities, market challenges and key skills to create proactive recruitment plans and function as a subject matter expert to the business
  • Other duties as necessary

Required Skills:


  • At least 4 years experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Ability to work well independently with a high level of responsibility and navigate effectively in matrix environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build effective, collaborative work relationships with colleagues and internal clients
  • Must have strong detail-orientation, multitasking abilities and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and popular ATS systems such as: Taleo, Brassring, Kenexa, etc.
Desired Skills:

  • Technical Recruiter in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Strong data analytic skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
