EPBL: Technical Advisor- Aeronautical Engineering Lead (EAER40)


This position reports to the KBR EPBL Program Director and all duties must be performed onsite at Hill AFB, Utah.

  • Coordinate repair activities of aircraft propulsion units.
  • Analyzes products to facilitate repair development and repair technology deployment as applicable to the repair of SCAS/APU/ Propulsion components related to F-15, C-130, B-1B, B-2, F-16, E-3 platforms
  • Assist in defining repair opportunities - review/accept/ deny insuring repairs that do not jeopardize original design intent, are cost effective
  • Perform risk assessments and generate risk mitigation plans and strategies
  • Help develop repairs to support issues noted by USAF
  • Work closely with the Honeywell Global Repair Engineering Manager to communicate information to the Honeywell R&O repair development, O/H engineers, OEM Engineering teams and USAF Engineering staff
  • Support Supplier sourcing and transitions to ensure product availability
  • Drive productivity through implementation of new or enhanced repairs managing prioritization to needs of USAF
  • Provide guidance to USAF in coordinating OEM/specialist involvement in issues
  • Globally manage new and revised Authorizing Documents (ex. - ORI's, Technical Manuals, etc.).
  • Program manages repair activity on products
  • Establish milestones and tracks to schedule.
  • Manage a team of onsite repair/overhaul engineers to ensure adherence with established procedures
  • Availability to travel 10% of the time
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred
  • 10 years related aerospace engineering experience.
  • Greenbelt certification desired
  • Black Belt or Lean Expert preferred
  • Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), interpersonal and team skills
  • Must be US Citizen
