Description

SAIC is positioned to offer a contingent Database Administrator position. Prospective candidates need to demonstrate recent Computer Specialist support to a Navy enterprise with an emphasis on database administration, integration management, data processing, and support of Joint Mission Planning Environments/Unique Planning component development. 

A successful candidate will provide the following core skills:

  • Ability to administrate complex database structures;
  • Ability to conduct defect identification and resolution analysis support;
  • Analyze and correct database administration issues to include automated data processing;
  • Evaluate and implement solutions to mainframe hardware concerns;
  • Conduct progress reporting and final product summaries;
  • Support the build and sustainment of a positive forward leaning database administration team.



Qualifications

  • BS and 6 years of recent direct Navy Database Administrator support to a Naval Aviation Warfare Center or NavAir enterprise.

  • Requires a Final SECRET Clearance; active.
  • Experience in the administration and manipulation of complex proprietary databases;
  • Experience database software/macro development;
  • Use of web tools to sequence web service calls to model user workflows and objectives;
  • Experience in reviewing system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations;
  • Experience writing, modifying or adapting computer programs in both high and low level languages;
  • Support to create and validate test plans/procedures traced/mapped to requirements;
  • Experience in briefing to technical teams, workgroups, leads, and stakeholders
Desired exposure and use of:  

  • SQL Server, Oracle, DOORS, Weblogic,
  • XML, Java, C#, Enterprise Architect for UML, Office Tools

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Other Software certificates focused on current programming language and Agile processes
