Provide Manufacturing Engineering technical support within Owego Assembly & Flight Operations, ensuring aircraft and components are completed according to blueprint requirements and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Must be able to work in a union environment and ensure accurate and thorough communications with key internal customers and employees. This person creates and maintains work instructions and cost tickets to keep final assembly and hangar operations flowing seamlessly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering support of aircraft build while adhering to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements. Responsible for initiating and executing high visibility projects with little involvement from supervision. Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring standard work and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements are met Ensure that the technical issues are resolved prior to delivery or aircraft in a manner that fully satisfies customer. Assist Operations with root cause investigations and corrective action plans to drive producibility improvements Initiate engineering cost projects in support of reducing direct labor as well as SRR and AR.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
