Job Summary

AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm is currently seeking Equipment Operators to join us this Fall Pitstop season in Fort McMurray, AB and surrounding areas. This is a temporary role.

Project Details: Pitstop dates starts in August 2019

Travel: Charter flights are provided from Calgary and Edmonton, and shuttle services from Fort McMurray or Surrounding areas

Accommodation: Camp accommodation is provided

Shift and Work Hours: Varies

Duration: 6-9 Days

Overtime Eligibility: This position is overtime eligible

Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment and trucks; . Responsible for understanding and following all operating policy and procedures while operating equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.

  • Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment.

  • Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.

  • Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily.

  • Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment

Conditions of Employment for this position are:

  1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

  2. Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Equipment Operating experience in Industrial Construction and/or Maintenance projects

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in operating Zoom Booms

  • A valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.

  • Zoom Boom Ticket

  • CSTS-09, BSO or CSO

  • Fall Protection Ticket

  • Confined Space Entry/ Monitor Ticket
