As a member of the Enterprise Communications team, this specialist position serves as a communications partner focused on elevating enterprise-level programs, including innovation, safety, sustainability, corporate responsibility, information technology, and transformative initiatives.
This position plays an integral role in helping to positively shape the company’s culture and reflect the brand to key stakeholders, including employees, media, industry organizations, and current and potential clients. Further, this position will help drive meaningful results through the thoughtful management and execution of communications strategies, tactics and tools.
Based in Los Angeles, CA and reporting to the Director of Enterprise Program Communications, the successful candidate will be passionate, self-motivated and able to connect with geographically-dispersed members of the global communications team to support the execution of activities that tell the AECOM story.
Supporting functional leaders and communications team members in delivering effective messages through strong writing, storytelling and other communications content.
Proactively supporting Enterprise Communications projects, events and campaigns that align with and support the company's key messages and priorities.
Providing writing and editing support to ensure all communication materials meet quality and consistency standards.
Supporting critical change and transformational initiatives with the execution of communications tactics.
Partnering with global colleagues to manage the enterprise corporate responsibility platform to help maximize its positive social impact.
Bachelor's degree and two years related experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related discipline.
3+ years of professional communications-related experience, preferably in a global company.
High-energy, reliable, and enthusiastic team player.
Strong project management and organizational skills for managing several projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Exceptional written and oral communications skills, including copyediting and familiarity with AP style.
Ability to synthesize complex materials and to craft creative, persuasive messaging for a variety of audiences.
Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships and work effectively at all levels of a global organization.
Ability to represent Enterprise Communications in a collegial, cooperative and collaborative manner.
Ability to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products.
Brings new thinking and best practice into their work.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Experience with Adobe Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign software products a plus, but not required.
