Job Description

Job Function: Develops, codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software. Possesses a good understanding of business applications. Works with technical staff to understand and resolve software problems, resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. May be involved in the development of software user manuals and demonstrate software. Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Basic qualifications

  • Excitement and eagerness to learn new technology
  • Passion for IT development and desire to gain in-depth knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree or minor in any of the following: Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math or Economics or equivalent training or course work experience
  • Basic knowledge of Java, C#, .Net, Python or similar programming languages
  • Interest in web programming and Object-Oriented design
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.


  • Agile experience necessary, DevOps preferred.
  • Proven history of successful interaction with internal customers and/or enterprise IT department.
  • Proven experience in triaging customer/client issues, and after-hours support.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • HHS EPLC experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Excellent Communications skills
  • Ability to clearly understand and articulate complex problems.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills able to work at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong J2EE developer with experience across multiple MVCs (Struts, Spring), ORM platforms (Hibernate, etc.), Continuous integration, Web services (REST and SOAP – building and implementing), XML/JSON messaging, Queues (JMS, RabbitMQ, etc.), Rules engine experience (Drools, etc.).
  • Database experience with Oracle, SQL server using standard SQL operations: create, insert, delete, update, distinct, etc.
  • Application servers – Tomcat, JBoss, Jetty etc.
  • OS - Windows, Linux.
  • Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.

Clearance - US Citizenship required, selected candidates will need to clear through a Public Trust before starting.
