Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer in the Greenwood Village, CO location.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase for projects of limited complexity under the direct supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer or Design Supervisor.

  • This position requires the use of CAD software to create drawings for electrical systems in utility substations.

  • The Design Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects and is responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:?

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 0 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • One year of post-graduate electrical engineering experience

  • EIT certification

  • 3.0 GPA

  • Previous experience with an engineering firm in the power industry.

  • AutoCAD or Microstation experience

  • Hands on experience with electrical equipment within industrial facilities.

  • Utility substation design experience

  • Working knowledge of 2D CAD software
