Maintenance Flight Chief

Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) is seeking a Maintenance Flight Chief to join our team in support of the U.S. Air Force North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) Sustained Support Contract (NISSC). As the Maintenance Flight Chief at CMAFS, you will be reporting to the Site Lead and will have multiple work centers reporting to you.

NISSC provides accurate, timely, and unambiguous warning and attack assessment of Air, Missile, and Space threats, with daily visibility from National Command Authority leaders, including the President of the United States.

NCMC-ITW/AA is composed of Air, Missile, and Space Warning Missions located at Cheyenne Mountain AFS (CMAFS), Peterson AFB, Offutt AFB, Vandenberg AFB, and forward user and sensor sites worldwide.


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure assigned maintenance work centers and personnel meet customer expectations/mission goals, objectives, reporting criteria, and response times
  • Ensure work centers meet scheduled and unscheduled mission requirements
  • Develop, approve, implement, monitor and refine Maintenance Flight goals and operating instructions
  • Provide overall technical direction for all Maintenance Flight activities and systems and oversee work center quality control, metrics development and reporting, and systems monitoring; develop, manage, and monitor all Maintenance Flight labor and materials budgets
  • Ensure all work center staffing needs are met with qualified, cleared personnel according to position requirements
  • Advise and assist on all Maintenance Flight personnel issues to include pay, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure adequate access, supplies, tools, test equipment, and other resource are available to meet mission and project requirements

This position is considered Mission Essential. You must be prepared for and be able to report to work and remain on site for extended periods of time during emergencies and drills. During such periods, you may be unable to maintain contact with anyone outside the site, including family and friends. You must sign a letter of commitment for acknowledgment and agreement to this requirement.


Required Experience/Background/Skills:
  • Experience with supporting various work centers reporting to the Maintenance Flight
  • Familiar with the security and operational aspects of CMAFS
  • Must have a TS/SCI clearance and be able to retain it
  • Able to work in a high paced environment
  • Able to work in a 24x7 environment (on call if necessary)

Desired Skills:
  • Background in Maintenance Flight methods/procedures and operations planning and management in a real time support environment
  • Understanding of RMF and OPSEC requirements for the USAF

Required Education:
B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics or related degree plus at least 8 years of professional experience, or a Master’s Degree with at least 4 years of experience; or at least 16 years of related experience in lieu of a degree


U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
