Description:Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electo-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1300 employees and provides it’s products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.
Ocala Operations is seeking a Quality Manager that will be responsible for the management of program dedicated quality engineers and providing overarching program quality support for production programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring resources are assigned appropriately to provide support to the production programs, supporting program and mission area corrective action boards and quality initiatives, creating, and executing strategies that ensure continuous improvement of production processes resulting in on-time and on-cost deliveries that meet program and customer requirements. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and executing processes and procedures in production quality engineering, skills training, metrology, inspection, QMS compliance, and supply chain management.
This position requires contact with equivalent level managers, industry peers and customer representatives, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, contractual issues and general overall performance of the organizational unit. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives and works as an active member of an Integrated Product Team, partnering with Production Operations, Engineering and Technology, PP&C as well as Program Management. Focuses on directing the organization to meet critical schedules, resolve critical/complex technical or operational problems. Develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards. Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
Additional duties include:
-Build, direct and retain a team responsible for the quality of product.
-Define and administer QA management policies and systems.
-Evaluate and continuously improve QA processes
-Ensure the effective implementation of internal auditing and reporting.
-Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
-Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives on matters pertaining to quality.
-Develop, Establish, and Maintain Quality Processes
-Prepare product and process quality reports for management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
This position reports to the Ocala Quality Operations Sr. Mgr.

The Locale: Ocala FL is located about 85 miles north of Orlando FL in charming Marion county. Ocala and the surrounding areas offer a somewhat rural setting that are a short drive to downtown Ocala where there are ample shops, restaurants, businesses, hospitals, and professional organizations. Ocala is midway between both Florida coast lines and is also equally close to Orlando attractions. Ocala offers great school systems as well as continuing educational institutions. There is abundant housing opportunities throughout the area offering acreage, residential communities as well as high density living. This position will be located at facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Bachelor's degree in related field is required
Quality Assurance Management Experience
Ability to work with multiple internal and external customers, including DCMA customers
Prior manufacturing experience with circuit card, wire harness, electo-optical manufacturing
Experience implementing Process Mistake-proofing process controls
This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
Lockheed Martin Green or Black Belt certification, with a proven track record of business performance improvement
Familiarity with developing Statistical process Control run charts.
Expert in MS Office
Experience evaluating and implementing technology insertions into business processes.
