Description:• Duties primarily focused on Windows system administration, but also include Linux/Unix administration and Network engineering/administration for classified systems
• Typical duties: managing active directory and group policy; backups; configuration management services; system patching; network and system monitoring; system diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair; tech refresh and upgrades; technical meetings; maintaining, configuring and updating baseline configurations per RMF requirements
• Support system and network infrastructure upgrades and reconfiguration projects
• Support customer test events and mission requirements; including brief (less than 2 weeks) travel
Basic Qualifications:
• Hold and maintain an active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Have a background investigation closure date within the last 5 years
• Be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access
• Have and be able to retain DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, etc.)
• Have and be able to retain computing environment certification(s)
• Demonstrated system administrator experience, including administration and configuration of STIG security policies for Windows servers and workstations
• Demonstrated skills and abilities to manage a lab environment including the maintenance and upkeep of hardware and the installation and/or upgrading of system software
• Be self-motivated, responsible and accountable, highly reliable, and focused on mission success
• Be able to plan and follow schedules with little oversight or direction
• Possess excellent organizational and reporting abilities; strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Have a willingness to share knowledge and mentor team members
• Be willing to work varied shifts and flexible schedules (including flexible on-call schedules) to meet customer mission requirements
• Be available to travel to support program requirements
• Understand modern networking concepts and technologies
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• System administrator experience, including administration and configuration of STIG security policies for Linux/Unix servers and workstations
• Familiarity with configuring VMs (Virtualization)
• CISSP certification
• Practical experience in the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise classified network computing infrastructure including but not limited to: Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls, IDPS, and physical switching systems
• Experience in the application of STIG settings to network computing infrastructure
• COMSEC (Communications security) experience with the TACLANE (Tactical Local Area Network Encryption) line of In-Line Network Encryptors (INE); programming and operating approved key fill devices; and performing hands-on installation, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of COMSEC equipment
• Familiarity with IP telephony
