Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking an Integrated Test Engineer in support of MARMC Code 200 to provide oversight of surface ship overhaul planning, development and execution of availability Integrated Total Ship Test Plans. Oversight includes review of contractor developed deliverables and review, revision, development, management and execution of availability ITP as required by NAVSEA Standard Item 009-67. Expertise shall consist of the following technical specialties in support of MARMC Code 200: Naval Architecture/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and C4I/Combat Systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight for Lead Maintenance Activity’s development and management of Integrated Test Plans in accordance with applicable NAVSEA Standard Items.

  • Serves as the Government’s representative on the Total Ship Testing Task Group for individual ship availabilities as outlined in NAVSEA Standard Item 009-67.

  • Conducts fact finding visits to ships in maintenance availabilities and industrial facilities.

  • Evaluates and analyzes production schedules, test schedules, and various Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) from a variety of sources and maintenance providers as they pertain to the execution of the Integrated Test Plan.

  • Liaisons with NAVSEA project engineers and test personnel and other personnel, as required.

  • Participates in all relevant availability planning, production execution and test meetings during the planning and execution phases of individual ship availabilities.

  • Leads MARMC’s work certification process for individual ship availabilities and facilitates completion of work certification processes by all maintenance activities. Coordinates work certification efforts between Government Project Team, LMA and ship’s force.

  • Evaluates Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for completed tests, evaluates results for completeness and accuracy, and coordinates with Project Support Engineers to technically adjudicate issues.

  • Provide detailed briefs and periodic status reports to senior Government managers regarding the work certification status and test program execution on individual ship availabilities.

  • May require participation on Sea Trials.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field and at least 5 years of job-related experience; OR Vocational/Technical school/Associate's degree and at least 10 years of job related experience; or HS diploma/GED and 13 years of work experience; or equivalent.

  • GENERAL EXPERIENCE: A minimum of ten (10) years managerial experience within last 20 years on projects including design, maintenance, repair, testing, installation, or ship upgrade of naval or similar systems. Must be able to compile reports, charts and tables based on established statistical methods and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May be required to direct and lead the work of others. Desired is the ability to analyze the reliability in design and cost of Navy Combat Systems and/or HM&E Systems and equipment.

  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of sex (6) years of analytical experience within the last 10 years in Combat Systems or HM&E Systems including RM&A analysis. A minimum of three (3) of the years shall have been with the 3-M system (PMS, CSMP, OARS), COSAL, ILS and/or SHIPALT/FMP process. Desired is knowledge of relationships, policies, and procedures for ship maintenance between MARMC, NAVSE, TYCOMS, Naval Ship Yards, and SUPSHIP/IMA Organizations.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
