Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Architect skilled in project and team leadership. Come assist us in developing Architectural staff and working with clients! This pivotal role will be based out of our Chelmsford, MA office. Our Architectural Department supports the overall National Water Design Center with the layout and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations.

This position will be involved in leading a variety of new and renovation initiatives to existing governmental, commercial, institutional and industrial facilities, reporting directly to the Architectural Department head for our Chelmsford Design Center. In this role, this professional will develop architectural plans, elevations, sections and details, and review the work of others. Will verify compliance with applicable codes and standards / practices and coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed, working collaboratively with internal and external clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as an Architect or Architectural Designer.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent REVIT skills.

  • BIM 360.

  • Navisworks.

  • AutoCAD Architecture.

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop.

  • Ability to work with a diverse team

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented and technical, yet experienced enough to see the big picture

  • Experienced, self-directed professional

  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to meet quality, schedule and budget expectations.

  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines.

  • Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Preferred Qualifications

  • B. Arch or master’s degree in Architecture,

  • 10+ years of experience as an Architect.

  • AIA or LEED Accredited Professional.

  • Project Management / Lead role experience

  • Experience in the water/wastewater industry
