The Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial needs. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives. Our professionals serve as an extension of our clients' staff, protecting their interests as our own, and often working within our clients' offices. As an industry leader in PM/CM, we oversee activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning.
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Estimator for immediate employment in the Sacramento, CA office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Works on a variety of tasks of moderate scope and complexity
Works under very general supervision
Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy
Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates
Maintains current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact, written materials, sales brochures, prices lists
Reviews change requests and proposals for coordination with various construction trades
Participates with inspection and quality assurance staff to determine compliance with contract requirements
Produces budgets from conceptual plans and specifications
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Narrative writer to summarize estimate findings
Experienced with various types of structures
Estimating Association certifications preferred, but not required
