Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Junior level Electrical Engineer for employment in the Orange, CA office. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the best projects regionally, with opportunities to work on projects nationally or internationally. Our people bring deep industry knowledge to help you succeed. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer:

  • Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.

  • Perform electrical engineering CAD and design utilizing AutoCAD and Microstation.

  • Develop single line diagrams, power and lighting design plans for underground and overhead distribution

  • Research and apply building code, regulatory and industry requirements.

  • Prepare electrical design calculations, utilize electrical design software.

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings

  • Collects and analyzes data.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.

  • Work under minimum supervision. Knowledge of building codes, regulatory and industry requirements.

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software.
