Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in our Interiors practice in New Jersey. AECOM’s Buildings + Places business line is dedicated to design excellence and integrated project delivery solutions with expertise including architecture, interiors, engineering, development, workplace strategy, economic planning, master planning, project management and construction services. Our B+P Clifton studio provides industry leading design projects in corporate, commercial, transportation, government, research and technology markets. AECOM projects include the World Trade Center, New York; Mercedes Benz Stadium, Atlanta; and corporate-commercial projects throughout Europe, Asia and the America’s ranging from corporate headquarters to commercial office towers.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a line of communication and a collaborative working relationship with the AECOM Leadership team

  • Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and coordinate bidding process

  • Manage quality control and team performance for all phases of interiors projects

  • Manage project schedule, budgets, and set-up with subcontractors, vendors and consultants, including preparation and execution of consultant contracts

  • Manage and maintain existing client relationships while developing new and to identify and source potential projects

  • Track financial performance of projects

  • Consistently provide complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team

  • Ensure projects conform to contract and monitor construction administration

  • Mentor and coach staff for growth

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager on a range of interiors project types or demonstrated equivalency of education/experience

  • Experience with all phases of the project, including predesign through post-occupancy

  • Experience negotiating project scope and fees

  • Experience in maintaining fiscal accountability of projects

  • Experience in maintaining and building new client relationships

  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures

  • Self-starter, leader, manage and mentor multiple project teams

  • Able to work and lead a complex team structure

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project

  • LEED Accreditation required within 12 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • ?Corporate interiors experience through all phases, including large scale (150,000+) in the NY or NJ region

  • Knowledge of Revit and workflow
