Raytheon Missiles has an opportunity for a Principal Procurement Specialist II at the Tucson, AZ business location to support development proposal and purchase order execution for the Air Warfare Systems Product Line.

The successful candidate will have direct contact with suppliers, internal customers, Quality, Engineering, and Operations (Production Control), and is expected to drive material savings through negotiations strategy development and execution, excellent communications skills with the suppliers and material program management teams, as well to ensure the supplier is supplying’ quality hardware and test equipment to the factories.

Responsibilities would include but not be limited to, adding new suppliers, working with Production Control for annual usages, working with quality to maintain standard quality requirements and flow downs for their material, supporting RMS factories to ensure there are no material shortages, resolving Supply Chain issues for the program and supplier; supporting future/current proposal activities; identifying and mitigating factory risks as they pertain to material requirements; maintaining monitoring monthly metrics with the supplier. The individual needs to be a success oriented, self-motivated, committed to work within the compliant requirements, proficient in Excel, PRISM, and communication. This position needs to be filled immediately.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience performing or a good understanding of price and cost analysis and negotiation strategy development
  • Experience planning, organizing, directing and monitoring subcontractor performance
  • Working knowledge of the Federal and State Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of programs, i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP/PRISM
