Do you have the qualifications and experience to be successful in this role?

  • 4 years’ experience in Systems Engineering
  • 2 years’ experience in Project Control/Management
  • 2 years’ experience in Safety Engineering
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Experience in a Defence or Defence Industry environment
  • Australian Citizenship - Mandatory to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (minimum Baseline)

About your new role

As the Project Engineer you will work within our Major Service Provider Program for the Department of Defence. You will be an integral part of the management team and will be responsible for providing oversight and support for major Navy capability assurance tasks, including supervision of stakeholder and engineering functions, planning and optimising capability upgrade paths, and maintaining the fidelity of the systems engineering lifecycle. You will also use your experience in technical certification of mission and support systems to ensure compliance with standards, specifications and regulations and assuring fitness for purpose of delivered systems. You will also perform project management duties in the absence of senior project staff.
