Are you ready to add Mission Assurance to your skill set? Are you ready to use your technical analytical skills in the Quality Sciences? We have an immediate need for a Systems/Software Quality Engineer within Raytheon IIS located in Marlborough, MA. You will represent the customer’s best interests, assuring product and process quality and effectiveness throughout the product life cycle from planning through post-delivery support.
As a Quality Engineer you will be the Mission Assurance interface and will drive overall quality performance including continuous improvement and implementation of lean methodologies. You will help to ensure programs meet customer objectives for Mission Assurance, working closely with other functions, to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communication skills. You will work in a results based culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement. You will be required to problem-solve working with a team. Your work will involve planning, coordination, facilitation, analysis, coordination and influencing to achieve continuous improvement and successful program execution, focusing on Quality. You will provide Quality Sciences Subject Matter Expertise for work product and process compliance to meet tactical and strategic objectives. You will work at all levels of the organization to drive root cause and corrective action utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.
Job Description:
Implement, perform and report on software quality assurance activities per the documented plans, contract requirements and company standards. Perform process and product assessments for compliance to company directives, project plans, procedures, and work instruction. Provide quality support to software, systems and test engineering on large and small projects. Applicant should be capable of establishing and implementing the quality management system requirements with an understanding of the management by measurement concepts. Interface with suppliers and/or customers to resolve concerns relating to software requirements, ensure delivered end product meets customer requirements and ensure that the software products meets Raytheon requirements. Has knowledge in software and system design, development, integration and testing through experience, training and/or education. Candidate will be able to identify improvements and technical solutions through a wide range of problems.
This position can be a Sr. Quality Engineer I or Sr. Quality Engineer II based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
