As a candidate for this opportunity you should have a good foundation in one or more software development languages, preferably Java, and be able to use various software tools on HP or SUN workstations in a UNIX or LINUX environment. The candidate should have a fundamental understanding of basic software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process) and Object Oriented analysis, design, and programming.

Work as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic workforce, including many experts in their fields. Specific duties include:
·Responsible for performing development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms
·Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources, integrate and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization
·Develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, to facilitate testing, etc.
·Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews , and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code
· Software development experience with Java
·A good foundation in Windows, UNIX or Linux
· This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.

·Experience with version control software such as Clearcase or GIT
·Experience with continuous integration tools such as Hudson/Jenkins or Cruise Control
·Experience or familiar with Agile development practices
Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a STEM technical degree in the area of Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics. A cumulative GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired.Please include your transcript with your resume.
This position can be Salary Grade ST02, Salary Grade ST03, or Salary Grade ST04 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position for a summer of 2020 internship.
· ST02 (TechStudent-Sophomore) – must have completed 30 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Sophomore status as of Summer 2020.
· ST03 (TechStudent–Junior) – must have completed 60 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Junior status as of Summer 2020.
· ST04 (TechStudent-Senior) – must have completed 90 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Senior status as of Summer 2020.
