Assists with leading category growth platform development. Delivers category initiatives and plans to field sales. Supports field in deployment of materials to key customers. Assists manager to deliver category analysis and business implications to Brand and Business Development and Business Planning teams. Identify the opportunity to enhance customer/category objectives and those of Conagra. Customize existing corporate category initiatives and plans to drive Conagra and category sales at the customer. Work with internal partners and retailer contacts to develop and help implement category growth plans. Develop proposals for distribution and shelving changes to the Brand and Business Planning and Business Development teams.
Assists manager to deliver category analysis and business implications to the sales team, identifying the opportunity to enhance customer/category objectives and those of Conagra
Customizes existing corporate category initiatives and plans to drive Conagra and category sales at the customer
Assists with delivery of category insights to develop collaborative business solutions
Assists team to exceed established shelving and merchandising objectives.
Consistently deliver category insights to account in Conagra priority categories, striving to or confirming the position of, lead vendor within the category review process
Work with internal partners and retailer contacts to develop and help implement category growth plans
Assist in directing broker partners to develop planograms in concert with Conagra shelving standards across priority categories
Educate sales team on new item initiatives and category rationale for development; develop proposals for distribution and shelving changes to the account
Ensure category initiatives and plans are delivered
Bachelor’s Degree required
1 – 3 Years of CPG related experience in sales or analytical roles
Communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Data integration and interpretation experience
Problem solving skills
Analytical thinking skills
Time management skills
Action-oriented with proactive, self-starting nature
Ability to synthesize a holistic sales story from multiple sources of data (syndicated, loyalty, consumer and industry trends)
Understand the fundamentals of syndicated panel data
Experience working directly with customers in growing category sales a plus
Must possess solid knowledge of computers, MS Office Suite, Nielsen/IRI, space management tools
Customer loyalty card knowledge a plus
Special emphasis on spreadsheet development and automation is a plus
Working knowledge of retail merchandising and in-store execution tactics
Ability to multi-task and prioritize/manage multiple projects at once
Must possess analytical curiosity
