AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Manager for its location in Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervises Operational Safety and Health Specialists assigned to the same project(s).
Performs work, which involves a variety of functions that require a broad range of expertise and excellent communication skills.
Under limited supervision, manage the environmental safety and health function(s) on a large project.
Work is complex and requires independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
Uses independent judgment and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail is a project that operates seven days a week and 24 hours a day.
At times, as required, the successful candidate may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
All others duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, or an applied science field or demonstrated equivalent
This is a safety management level position with 8 years of safety experience.required
Candidate must possess a valid Driver’s License, with no moving violations or suspensions within the last 3 years
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification or in the process of obtaining
30 Hours OSHA or equivalent certification is required.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
