Amentum is seeking an Engineering Technician to operate and maintain equipment necessary to support conduct of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing/certification of DoD and non-DoD developmental and operational weapon and electronic systems.
The purpose of this testing is to determine if the system under evaluation meets E3 design specifications and/or assess its ability to function in its intended operational electromagnetic environment from both a safety and reliability standpoint.
Travel is involved as much as 10% of time.
Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least two (2) years specialized technical experience in RF energy testing.
Demonstrated experience to perform RF measurements using power meters, spectrum analyzers, and computer software.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
U.S. citizenship required.
Active Interim Secret security clearance or above required.
Three (3) years of general electronic technical experience;
Demonstrated specialized experience in instrumentation systems required to conduct EMC/EMV/HERO testing;
Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of high power Radio Frequency (RF) transmitters; to perform RF measurements using power meters, spectrum analyzers, and computer software;
Experience using anechoic chamber, reverberation chamber, or ground plane test facilities to conduct E3 testing;
Demonstrated knowledge and application of military standards and specifications MIL-HDBK-235, DOD-STD-1399 Section 070, and MIL-STD-461/464 Standards
