Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Weekend Shift Cable Lab Manager to join our team at our Electronics Manufacturing Facility. Candidate will be responsible for leadership of the weekend shift technician team that builds cable assemblies. The type of work includes cable assemblies that require AS9100 processing including calibrated tools, repeatable processes, testing and inspection. This position will lead the team of IPC-620 and J-STD-001 certified technicians.

Primary Responsibilities
- Day to day management responsibilities of weekend cable lab assembly operations.
- Communicate with project teams and production control to provide updates on both schedule and cost
- Will be responsible for providing employee feedback and any disciplinary matters
- Reviewing and approving time sheets and verification for accuracy
- Enforcing / following company policies as applicable
- Engaging with peers to share best practices
- Maintaining 5S best practices in lab
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma/GED with 8 years of experience will be considered.
- Applicants must have strong experience working with teams.
- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple objectives over similar time periods.
- Knowledge of assembly requirements for cable assemblies.
- Working knowledge of testing and inspection of cable assemblies.
- MES (Solumina or Aegis) Build Tracking experienceCandidate will be required to have basic computer skills associated with these assembly tasks (such as retrieving the manufacturing documentation from the system, updating the system as router steps are completed, communication via email, Excel spreadsheets, etc.).
- Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or prior certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620
- Current or prior certification in J-STD-001
- Experience leading a team
- Experience working weekend shift
- MES (Solumina or Aegis) Build Tracking experience
