Job Description:

    SUMMARY:

    The Supply Technician Lead is a critical role that requires a detail-oriented professional with prior work experience in supply logistics. The specialist will utilize automated systems, apply logistics regulations, analyze supply procedures, and coordinate with vendors to resolve supply issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of government supply management procedures, and proficiency in computer skills for data entry.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Automated Systems Management: Access, monitor, review, edit, and research supply and logistics data using automated systems such as GCSS-Army, WEBFLIS, FEDLOG, i2Log, and current automated supply systems.
    • Logistics Regulation Compliance: Apply comprehensive knowledge of logistics regulations to meet Government policies and procedures.
    • Supply Operations Analysis: Assessing the current supply processes, identifying issues that may hinder progress, and recommending improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste. Investigative areas of inefficiency, inventory discrepancies, delayed deliveries, or inadequate stock levels, and take corrective actions to optimize supply operations.
    • Customer Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, item managers, National Inventory Control Points, Army depots, or other installations to resolve supply issues.
    • Reporting and Communication: Create and follow up on reports, provide guidance and advice to receiving personnel and customers, and keep the supervisor informed of status and changes. Identify and process supply discrepancy reports as required.
    • Technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to supply operations.
    • Works under the direction of a supervisor, adhering to established policies and procedures.
    • Team Lead providing guidance and oversight to a team of supply professionals and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic goals.
    • Holds the authority to perform duties in line with corporate procedures, standard operating procedures, and applicable Army regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • This position supports the DOD on federal installation, and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

  • Must have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with team members, management, and customers.
  • Good knowledge of government supply management procedures
  • Understanding of GCSS-Army or a current automated supply system
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • Proficiency in computer skills for data entry
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain Hazardous Material Certification and Forklift License

Preferred :

  • Current active SECRET security clearance
  • Military experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

The employee must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to read, comprehend, interpret, and explain instructions, regulations, letters, memos, emails, and other correspondence from both internal and external sources. The position requires the ability to effectively respond to, communicate with, and present information to customers, clients, internal staff, and other employees. The employee must be able to clearly interpret instructions and information and explain them to others in the performance of job duties, possess strong computer literacy, and be able to operate standard office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and move your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling material. Must have the ability to work indoors or outdoors in bad weather. Handle equipment/supplies weighing 30 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone. Wearing safety equipment (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. May be exposed to inclement/extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location. Must be able to work in fast paced, multi-task environment. If applicable work 10(+) hours per day Will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays. Overtime may be required.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS:

All employees are required to undergo an initial background investigation as a condition of employment. Additionally, employees may be subject to subsequent background investigations if circumstances warrant, such as the emergence of a need, an issue, or probable cause.

Employees assigned to work on federal installations or projects must also comply with government-mandated background investigations, which are conducted independently of the company's investigations. Employment and continued assignment to federal installations are contingent upon successfully meeting and maintaining these requirements.
