Job Description:

SUMMARY:

The Supply Technician (Inventory Technician) plays a critical role in the Logistics Division, responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management and investigating discrepancies to prevent future errors. This includes conducting thorough investigations, performing special inventories, and assisting with warehouse operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan, orders, receives stores, maintains, and issues supplies and equipment to support daily operations.
  • Determines condition of material and equipment and arranges disposal when necessary.
  • Maintains accountability of government materials assigned to the directorate/department in accordance with established requirements.
  • Maintains files in accordance with Army Records Information Management System
  • Operates COTS tracking system for accountability and asset visibility requirements.
  • Assists in resolving inventory and/or system problems and generates reports as directed.
  • Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area / process.
  • Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards, etc.
  • Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals.
  • Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, and workload requirements, etc.
  • Adhere to Company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • This position supports the DOD on federal installation, and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

General Description of Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits and physical inventory counts to verify stock levels and condition using GCSS-Army.
  • Assist warehouse personnel with receiving, issuing, and resolving issues related to inventory, including denials, overages, shortages, and location errors.
  • Identify source causes of discrepancies and recommend changes to prevent recurring errors.
  • Perform location surveys, monthly and annual inventories, shelf-life inspections, and preparation of inventory reports.
  • Support warehouse personnel with duties related to supply operations, including receiving, pulling, and issuing inventory.
  • Works under the supervision of a section supervisor, following established policies and directives.
  • Supply Technician provides guidance and oversight to a team of supply professionals and ensures alignment with organizational inventory objectives and strategic goals.
  • Holds the authority to perform duties in line with corporate procedures, standard operating procedures, and applicable Army regulations.
  • Must have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent .

  • Decision Support Tool (DST)

The employee must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to read,comprehendand explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization.Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this jobin English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for extended periods. The role involves physical activities requiring considerable use of the arms, legs, and whole body, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. The employee must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather. Must be able to handle equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance. The position requires sufficient visual acuity to review written documentation and the ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. May be exposed to inclement/extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location. Must be able to work in fast paced, multi-task environment. If applicable work 10(+) hours per day Will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays. Overtime may be required.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
