Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a talented Lead Program Finance Analyst to support the Hypersonic Weapons Division. Leidos Defense Systems Sector provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide.

As a core member of the CHGB/TPS portfolio team, you will support the execution of multiple programs and proposal efforts while collaborating closely with the Program Management Office, Portfolio Finance, and functional IPTs/CAMs to achieve financial and operational objectives. This role requires a self-motivated, highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities, contribute to and lead team environments, and communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and customers. Responsibilities include supporting program baseline execution, providing recommendations to drive program performance, developing cash flow and profitability analyses, supporting business cases and proposal activities, and delivering high-quality products that exceed stakeholder expectations while contributing to the long-term growth of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of the Program Management Team and trusted Finance Business Partner, delivering high-quality support to program leadership, customers, and stakeholders.
- Support Develop, managing, and maintaining program baselines, EACs, forecasts, and financial performance metrics, including analysis of actual costs, risks and opportunities, revenue, EBITDA, operating cash flow, and variance reporting.
- Support pricing activities for on-contract growth opportunities, proposal efforts, business case development, and financial presentations for program and operational reviews.
- Support program billing, cash collection, and unbilled receivable analysis while partnering with CAMs and operational teams to improve forecasting accuracy and financial execution.
- Perform detailed financial and contract cost analysis, identify and resolve discrepancies, and communicate actionable recommendations to program management and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field with 4+ years of experience related to Accounting, Finance, or Economics-related financial analysis (additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
- Knowledge of multiple contract types (FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrid contracts), terms and conditions and billing/reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Prior experience should include budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of contract cost and financial data
- Good communication skills both verbally and written to clearly provide detailed analysis.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of systems such as: Costpoint, Cognos, Power Platform from Microsoft, Oracle Analytical Cloud Earned Value Management and Manufacturing
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Government Program Finance experience
