Job Summary

Purpose/Scope

The Work Planning Manager (WPM) reports to the SM-1A Project Manager in support of the Decommissioning and Dismantlement (D&D) of the SM-1A Reactor Facility at Fort Greely, Alaska. This role is responsible for developing and executing a work planning program that is compliant with project contractual requirements, EM-385 and other related project procedures and documents. Additionally, the WPM will support field implementation of Technical Work Documents and Work Instructions to ensure worker safety and procedure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the project team, develop and execute a compliant work planning process.

  • Periodically review work planning program for identifying process improvements

  • Implement, assess, supervise, and train in work control processes and detailed project plans.

  • Support preparations for field execution readiness

  • Prepare new and make changes to existing Technical Work Documents and Work Instructions.

  • Participate in hazard identification and the development of hazard controls.

  • Supervise and mentor staff Technical Writers.

  • Facilitate the development of Standard Operating Procedures

  • Develop and report performance metrics to track work package development, changes and status.

  • Apply Human Performance Improvement principles to document generation and program development to maximize effectiveness.

  • In field coaching of work teams on importance of work instruction compliance.

Minimum Requirements (Read only)

10 years, or equivalent experience in the position and be able to perform the described responsibilities. 15 years of experience with radiological decommissioning or remediation projects.

Salary Range:       $168,504-$206,938

       

Compensation Details:

155000
