Position Summary

The Production Level 1 Operator is responsible for applying adhesive to pipe insulation covers using a two-part spray system in a manufacturing environment. This role supports the production of high-quality insulated products by following work instructions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring consistent application standards. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a two-part spray gun system to apply adhesive to pipe insulation covers
  • Read and interpret travelers, basic blueprints, and work instructions
  • Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other tools
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot spray equipment as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a slightly dusty environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
  • Stand and work on feet for up to 10-hour shifts with scheduled breaks
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with team members
  • Assist in other production areas as needed (cross-training provided)
  • Meet daily production goals and efficiency standard

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus
  • Ability to read basic blueprints, travelers, and measurements
  • Comfortable using hand tools and measuring devices
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and attendance record
  • Ability to work in a slightly dusty, industrial environment
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in multiple areas

Schedule

Compensation

  • $18 – $20 per hour DOE

Position Requirements & Work Conditions (Lamination Technician)

The Lamination Technician must demonstrate the ability to follow detailed directions and established production routines in a manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while exercising sound judgment. The technician must possess strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and the ability to read and interpret travelers, basic blueprints, and numerical measurements. The position also requires the ability to concentrate, retain information, and anticipate process steps (2–3 steps ahead) to ensure efficient workflow and product quality.

Regular, predictable attendance is essential. Employees must be able to commute safely, arrive on time, and maintain consistent performance throughout scheduled shifts.

This position involves a variety of repetitive production processes including adhesive application, material handling, and product alignment. The employee must be comfortable working in both independent and team-based settings and be willing to support other production areas as needed through cross-training.
