Summary of Responsibilities:
The Quality Specialist will report to the Supplier Quality Manager and support the Supplier Maintenance and Development efforts for the various Service platforms in support of the Vertical and Site Leadership. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for the following activities include:
Lead part qualification evaluations for new and existing programs
Manage the Calibration Recall program.
Inspect inbound & outbound materials for kind, condition and supplier documentation
Evaluate Supplier performance trends via Non-conformance reports and Delivery reports
Take proactive action with Suppliers that demonstrate unfavorable performance trends
Perform business internal self-assessment of all work activities affecting quality and customer service to ensure compliance with customers, regulatory agencies and ISO requirements.
Send, receive, and document Supplier Quality System self-assessments
Partner with Sourcing to establish methods of evaluating existing suppliers, and approve potential suppliers through various assessment screens and quality metrics
Lead internal and external ISO audits, and the document management and control program
Coordinate with Customer Quality resources, as needed, when Corrective Actions flow from the Customer to the Supply base
Review & interpret customer requirements; review & approve supplier quality documentation
Work with suppliers, internal customers, and business leadership as needed to meet goals and communicate performance
Maintain Gexpro Services Quality System's Procedures to ensure compliance to business, customer and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Sourcing to establish methods of evaluating existing suppliers and approve potential suppliers through various assessment screens and quality metrics.
Publish, control, and otherwise manage the Dock-to-Stock program for Suppliers that qualify.
Skills, Knowledge, and Education Requirements:
Previous quality systems experience
Associate degree/Trade School (2 yr. min.) in Quality/Material Composition and various Non/Destructive testing procedures is preferred
Familiar with interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications, and manufacturing process evaluation is preferred
Quality Certification is preferred
Previous supply chain management experience is preferred
Six Sigma or Statistics training & experience is preferred
ISO system management experience is preferred
Working Knowledge of and application of UL/CE/CSA/IEC/ASTN/ANSI and other relevant Global Regulatory Codes is preferred
