Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking an experienced and strategic Plant Manager to lead our Production Facility in Lodi, CA. The Plant Manager will have overall accountability for directing and managing plant operations to meet quality, food safety, and customer requirements in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner. The plant employs over 800 employees during the processing season and maintains an experienced year-round staff. The Plant Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production
  • Develop and execute production plans aligned with raw material supply, demand, labor, and plant capacity
  • Drive performance against key metrics including safety, quality, throughput, and cost
  • Own operating and capital budgets; analyzing performance and implementing corrective actions
  • Champion food safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence (OSHA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, HARPC, GMPs)
  • Build, coach, and develop strong teams through clear expectations and consistent leadership
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability
  • Partner effectively with union leadership to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Oversee capital projects and internal investments to support future growth and operational excellence


What You Bring to the Team:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing
    (aseptic processing, canning, or similar environments strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced, unionized setting
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, including budgeting and performance analysis
  • Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and leading change
  • Deep understanding of food safety systems and regulatory requirements (GFSI, HACCP, HARPC, FDA, OSHA)
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong problem-solving capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization

Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000/year (based on experience). This is a full-time, on-site role based at our production facility Lodi, CA.

The base salary range reflects the reasonable expectation for what the company anticipates paying for this role at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on factors including, but not limited to:

  • Relevant skills, education, and experience
  • Job-related qualifications and certifications
  • Internal pay equity
  • Market conditions and business needs
